Our first day in San Diego, we decided to go to Sea World. It was so much fun. Of course we saw all the shows we could see, and obviously we sat in the splash sections. We were having so much fun that we didn't really realize that we were getting burned. I think it crossed my mind once to get some sunscreen, but I didn't act on that thought. Sam says he thought it once too. We should've listened to our instincts. The first day in San Diego was fun, but boy were we burned bad! We had all sorts of plans like going to the beach, the zoo, and going anywhere that sounded fun. We still did all those things, but they weren't nearly as enjoyable as they could be. Being out in the sun when burned is not something I would recommend. We tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. Poor Sam all he really wanted to do was go to the beach for a day or two, but we couldn't even spend more than a couple of hours there without being totally miserable. Despite all that, knowing it was our last vacation with just the two of us, we had a good time.

One last vacation before the baby!
Since we were expecting a baby boy in January, we figured we should take one last vacation before our family started. We knew that once he came, it would be hard for just the two of us to go anywhere alone. San Diego, CA was our destination of choice. It was far enough away, but not too far. We went in September of 2007 thinking the weather would be comfortable. Who knew that 70 degrees in San Diego is NOT the same as 70 in Seattle. Okay, so lots of people probably know that, but Sam and I are sometimes not so bright when it comes to weather.

Welcome to the world of blogging! That was a good idea to go to San Diego before you had Logan (minus the sunburns). I love San Diego and SeaWorld, but after you start having kids it is more exoensive to travel and you want to make sure they can enjoy and remember a trip like that.I am excited to keep up to date on your blog, Logan is a cutie!
