Marriage and Ice Cream

I recently read on a friends blog that the secret to a happy marriage is to have a freezer full of ice cream. Well, ice cream is a huge hit in this household. So I just had to take a tally of everything we had. This is what we have currently in our freezer...

9 - 1.5 qts Dreyers/Breyers ice cream of various flavors
4 Klondike bars
1 package of Good Humor Chocolate Eclairs
2 packages of Nestle Drumsticks
1 package of Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches

If that saying is true, then I'd have to say that we have one of the happiest marriages on earth. Of course, I'd say that even if we didn't have all the ice cream. :)

Guess we should start eating that stuff, huh?

"Oh no, my shirt!!!"

That's what I heard over and over again as Logan woke up from his nap. I had no idea what he was talking about, but when I opened the door to get him, this is what I found...

He tried to take his shirt off for some unknown reason but got stuck soon after he tried.

Happy Anniversary!!

It's been a wonderful 4 years!

We celebrated our anniversary by going to the Tulalip Resort. It was great! It was nice to get away from the kids, even if it was only for not quite 24 hours. We're glad we did that last weekend, because both of us and the kids got sick this week. Fun times! Here's hoping that we won't be sick next year.

Sports Star

He's full of energy, but boy is he sure FUN!!!

Gate or no gate? That is the question

Olivia has found her way to the stairs. She's climbed up the first couple of steps, only to fall back down.

Logan loves his freedom and being able to roam the house as he pleases, and honestly, I love it too.

Here's the dilemma...If I put a gate up to protect Olivia, I will have one very upset little boy on my hands. And he's a strong kid. We have dozens of holes in the walls from him, and I know we'd have many more if a gate went up.

I think for now, I'll just keep a close eye on Livi. I really don't want to have to patch up more holes than I need to. She is pretty good about staying right in my sight too, so until she decides to crawl off without me knowing, I guess I'll keep the gate down.

Ahhh siblings!

What more can I say? She loves to tackle her brother, especially during diaper changes when he can't run away from her. It's a good thing Logan is so good to her. I'm always afraid he's going to hit her or something, but he doesn't.

...and he's down!

little daddy in training

Logan has become very nurturing to other things such as his stuffed animals. I'm always finding him wrapping his kitty in a blanket, rocking it to sleep, or even trying to feed it. Today, I found him sitting a bear on his chair and trying to feed it his lunch.
