Bath time fun

Well, it only took about 16 1/2 months, but Logan has finally started to enjoy taking a bath. For a long time he refused to sit down and would only be in the tub for a couple of minutes (just long enough for us to wash him down). Now he is loving it. He still stands up every now and then, but he has really come to enjoy the splashes he can make when he sits back down. It's become quite the fun game for him. Here are some of the cute bath pictures of him. Don't worry, they're modest enough.

The best grilled cheese sandwich

Well, I'm not exactly sure if it is the best, but so far it's the best I've had. Grilled cheese for me is usually great in the fall/winter, but today was cold and rainy and I just felt like having one. It's a recipe I saw on the Food Network channel so I figured it couldn't be too bad. It's definitely a keeper!

Ingredients
8 slices country-style white bread, sliced 1/2-inch thick
12 ounces farmhouse Cheddar, sliced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
12 slices bacon, cooked to desired doneness
1 green apple, thinly sliced
Dijon mustard
Directions
Heat griddle or large skillet over medium-low heat. Alternatively you can use your panini press if you have one.

Assemble sandwich: Generously spread Dijon on 4 slices of bread. Top with slices of Cheddar, 3 pieces of bacon, apple slices and additional Cheddar. Place the remaining bread on top and spread with butter. Place on skillet buttered-side down and butter the remaining side. Cook until cheese is slightly melted and bread is browned. Flip the sandwich and continue to cook until cheese is thoroughly melted and sandwich is golden brown.

A little side note, we didn't use a "generous" amount of Dijon, but just enough to give it flavor. And we used whole wheat bread, granny smith apples, and sharp cheddar cheese. So good!!
