After just a few short months of wedded bliss, we decided to move from one small condo to a little larger condo. We started looking around for a place in August, but found what we were looking for in October. It was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Redmond, WA. Sam's commute to Microsoft would be impacted. He would have to travel an extra mile or so, which would make his commute be anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Oh the things we have to suffer. ;) It was a place that needed much fixing up, but with the much appreciated help from family, we were able to transform it into a beautiful place to live.
But the real fun story is when we actually moved in to our new place. A day or two before, we got hit with a huge December storm. Did I forget to mention that we moved right before Christmas? What a mistake! We moved out of our old place in the dark since the power was out and had been for a few days. Luckily the power had gone back on at our new place, so at least we had light and heat there. The storm that had hit was so bad, that some places had no power for a week or more. We were so lucky to have had power regained the day we moved in. What a blessing!
